At 18 months, Sydney is saying “I love you” and we love hearing it!
We celebrated 18 months with a song and a pumpkin cake. Sydney enjoyed blowing out the candles (with help), but so far, she seems to prefer salty flavors over sweet ones.
Sydney is still obsessed with “Frosty the Snowman” and she loved “helping” Mommy make this one:
“Frosty” melted quickly, but her owl friend is always there to look at and talk to:
Sydney’s new favorite activity is “Tea Party!” We had our first tea party on a recent “Snow Day” and Sydney has requested “Tea Party!” every day since.
Sydney also loves to get “COZY” on the couch with a blanket, a good book, Jacko (the chimpanzee) and mommy or daddy.
Sydney gets excited about holidays and Valentine’s Day was no exception. She wished “Happy Valentine’s Day” to everyone we encountered and she was thrilled to receive pink and purple flowers (her two favorite colors) from her Lola.
Sydney still prefers numbers in Spanish. When asked “How old are you?” she replies “Uno y media.”
At her 18 month doctor appointment, we learned that Sydney is 33 inches tall (85th percentile for age) and she weighs 24 pounds, 6 ounces (72nd percentile for age).
Sydney is now correctly identifying yellow, blue, green, brown, white, purple and pink! And, she loves to say “Yay Sydney!” when she does something well.
